This course provides knowledge to help improve standards of dignity in care, to ensure that all people who receive health and social care services are treated with the upmost dignity and respect.

By the end of this unit you will be able to:

  • Enable people to make choices about the way they live and the care they receive
  • Speak to people respectfully and listen to what they have to say
  • Provide a choice of nutritious, appetising meals, which meet the needs and choices of individuals, and support with eating where needed
  • Ensure that people living with pain have the right help and medication to reduce suffering and improve their quality of life
